When we touch the screen with the finger or stylus both layers, conductive and resistive strike and send the outer message to the OS. There touch is analyzed and locate the point of touch and send back the information to carry out the command. In all this process outer most layer performs as a protector of the screen.
In capacitive touch screen of iPhone, glass panel is covered with a capacitive layer having an electric charge on it. An important thing here is this that it senses only human touch not any other. When this capacitive screen is touched by human finger, a little amount of charge shifts from capacitive layer to the finger and this decrease in charge is felt by the system which locates the touch.
As iPhone is widely used by the market and sometime iPhone is operated for multi-tsking use so its touchscreen sometimes troubleshoot. For example, when you intended to operate two applications you will face a pause for sometimes and both of the applications will halt and you stuck in between. Similarly, an iPhone touch screen is touched occasionally; it switches off and on again and again resultantly battery drained without any use which damages the touch system.
There are some limitations in iPhone touch screen mechanism due to which it fails if not uses with great care.
- The given command cannot find right axis because of the immediate second command.
- Sometimes average touches at a time are fixed, in case of acceding the average limit of touch again all operations aborted.
- Every command needs a specific time to process within that time if you touch the screen again it will fail to sense the accurate touch.
